Edgar I. Jelonche holds a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires, Law School. He is Head Professor of Commercial Law and former Director of the Economic and Business Law Department at the University of Buenos Aires’ Law School. He attended courses at the Instituto Brasileiro de Mercado de Capitais (Río de Janeiro) and at New York University (NYU.) He is a member of the Business Law Institute of the Academia Nacional de Derecho de Buenos Aires (National Law Academy of Buenos Aires) as well as a member of the Capital Market Academy. He was part of the Group Study of Unidroit (Rome) for the International Convention on the Intermediated Securities Project.
He has been part of the Buenos Aires Stock Market holding several positions including General Director. He has been part of the commissions at the World Federation of Exchanges and the Federación Iberoamericana de Bolsas, amongst other organisms.
Since his retirement from his executive positions, he specializes in public tender and international business related to company issues; corporate law and arbitration.
