Diego Guelar has broad experience in politics and law, and has worked during the last decades in important international positions. He was Argentina’s Ambassador in the European Union (Brussels) for six years (1989-1995), in Brazil (1996-1997) and twice in the United States of America (1997-1999 and in 2002).
He is a member of the Institute for European-Latin American Relations (IRELA), the Center for Studies about Regional Integration (CEFIR) in Montevideo, the Center of Strategic International Studies (CSIS) in Washington D.C. and the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI). In addition to his practice as an attorney, Diego Ramiro Guelar is the director of Argentine and foreign business groups.
